Titanic 's bridge is towards the front of the ship, so taking a side on screeny means zooming way out and losing a lot of detail. This makes pictures of the larger boats very difficult to frame nicely. The exterior view is still padlocked to the bridge. but totally unrealistic in something like the Titanic where you hear the engines from the bridge, but the sound diminishes as you walk aft below the funnels.Ģ. Not a problem in the small boats, pilot boat, tug etc. Engine sounds still emanate from the bridge position. And in Portsmouth I beleive I saw the White Link ferry terminal as well.Īnyway, enjoy it when you get it, it's a good game and has a few major improvements from Ship Simulator 2006.Īs said above, it is an improvement over the 2006 version but there are still a few annoying bits and bobs left over that really should have been fixed. It includes Portsmouth, Ryde Pier, Cows and Southampton. The Solent has to be the best enviroment for sailing in, it's SO realistic. But the missions that are there are fantastic! There ARE missions but none for Red Eagle. Untill then we just have to use free roam to sail the Red Eagle which I was most looking forward to trying out. A patch coming out in Q4 will give us the hovercraft, mission editor and maker and more. You will be able to put down your own AI with the mission maker when it is released. There aren't any which is a bit of a let down. In Cows you would expect to see sailing ships but you don't. Not many ships in the Solent but when you get into places like Southampton there are lots. Unfortuantly in free roam mode there isn't much change AI wise. Bigvern wrote:the AI of the other shipping left something to be desired, i.e.
